2008 World AIDS Day
This year marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. This year's theme is "Lead - Empower - Deliver." Since 1988, efforts made to respond to the epidemic have produced positive results, however, the latest UNAIDS report on the global AIDS epidemic indicates that the epidemic is not yet over in any part of the world. |

World AIDS Day Interfaith Prayer Breakfast
World AIDS Day Interfatih Prayer Breakfast at St. Philip AME Church. located at 240 Candler Rd., SE Atlanta. Keynote Speaker: David Satcher, MD, PhD, Director for the Center of Excellence on Health Disparities and 16th Surgeon General of the United States. The Prayer Breakfast will feature inspirational music by gospel artist L'Tanya Moore and the Interdenominational Theological Center Chorus, under the direction of Rev. Lisa Allen, PhD. 2008 AIDS Walk
Thanks to all for your support of this year's AIDS Walk. All funds raised by the IHM Team directly support AIDS Alliance for Faith and Health (AAFH), whose mission is to enhance the quality of life of persons living with HIV/AIDS through the integration of health and faith-based programs.
Our Mission
The mission of IHM's AIDS Ministry is to actively educate ourselves and the parish community about HIV/AIDS, and to serve the HIV/AIDS community by fostering compassion and mobilizing parish support for those infected or affected by the disease.
